                                          UNPROPHETABLE ---What does God ask of His Servant?

Introduction

Fifteen minutes of fame.  It has been said that everybody gets fifteen minute of fame.  It used to be call getting "your day in the sun", but now that's been shortened to just fifteen minutes.  Woudathunk inflation would take a bit out of your special time like that!  Yet her it is.  Just fifteen minutes to be special. Wouldn't it be nice if you could plan it, look forward to it, and then enjoy it when it arrives? it doesn't seem to work that way, does it.

One could only Hope that infamy was limited to just one occurrence as well: Just one chance to be humiliated in public; just one time you humiliated your spouse, children, and everyone else through your own failure to think.  Unfortunately, there seems to be plenty of room for infamy to recur in our lives.  One chance to get it Right; who knows how many chances to get it wrong.

This is a look at the prophets in the Bible.  Why yet another look at these prophets? Their stories are incredible, and do bear repeating, such as Elijah vs. the Prophets of Baal.  Some of those same stories will appear here, but with a difference. This is a look at the men behind the miracles.  Were they confident? Did they enjoy their work? Or did they, like most people today,  come home at night, put their feet up, and say, "Wow, what a day I had."?

Some of the stories you may not even have heard.  They are right there, within the pages of Scripture that sadly are seldom read.  No matter how well you know the story, there is a good chance you haven't thought about it with the humanity of the prophet in mind.  Consider the prophets doing things we don't usually associate with the great mean of God who held the office of prophet.
